How to engage Team
Confluence…
Communicate
your challenge to us by email, telephone, or hard copy regular mail.
Identify yourself (in confidence), your role in the commerce, and the
perceived problem. Take a few minutes to list what you believe might
be an optimum result and we’ll begin asking you a few simple questions
that will start the process. A written proposal will follow the discovery
meeting, used by your company and Team Confluence to qualify the potential
benefits of ‘confluencing’ within your commercial stream.
Our follow-up proposals will layout several options detailing each suggested
path of engagement and all of the required resources. These resource
details will include: Personnel requirements and time allotments, required
meeting or presentation rooms, media access and interlacing such as
devices (projectors, overheads etc.), expected milestones and a timeline
of achievement, some expected benefits from the activity, as well as
possible follow-up actions. Costs are detailed for each possible path
of engagement and shall capture essential time commitments including
disengaging our services.
How to disengage from the process…
Team Confluence operates in very close quarters with our clients and
we wish to provide the most responsive results and the most transparent
activity inside your company, as well as the easiest possible exit,
should your business achieve the desired results ahead of schedule,
or circumstances change and you wish to disengage from our services.
For these reasons we require payment of our first fee (for engagements
longer than two weeks the pre-payment is typically two weeks) previous
to our agreed start date. Using this method of prepayment any changes
in your original plan can be quickly accommodated using a simple two-week
written cancellation of our service agreement. Although our work with
your team may come to an end we are confident that the learning and
benefits of this activity will continue to grow and flourish throughout
the careers of every participant who honestly works at ‘confluencing’.

Ch, ch, ch, ch,
changes …
As we will discuss in our initial discovery meeting with your company
the challenges of growth or change in and around your commercial activity,
both recent and pending, probably has some of the team members concerned
that they may not know exactly what the future looks like and they may
feel that the company, in it’s current state, is not prepared
to support more change or growth activity. Frequently a sense of saturation
or ‘maxing out’ has been reached because the productivity
quotient of a persons’ day is highly displaced by the spikes of
fear that they or their team mates are experiencing. People may not
fully understand their role within the organization or how their work
will come together with other efforts to achieve each milestone and
attain the ultimate commercial objective.
Team Confluence brings these elements into clear view and the personal
learning effect of our ‘confluencing’ activities supports
company leadership to compliment group-wide activities. Team Confluence
was created after our founder had several personal successes bringing
teams together and facilitating each person within the team learning
more about themselves attaining a true sense of personal worth. This
awareness and understanding provided a venue where people can also better
understand their peers. This allows people to speak freely and communicate
openly without fear of retribution as well as to work together with
more mutual respect, confirming an individual’s function within
the team. Do not underestimate the work that is needed in order to accomplish
success in ‘confluencing’. Each participant in our activities
must develop and confront some of their weaknesses, failings, and fears
if they are going to truly understand their strengths. Controlling
your fear is the key that unlocks the door to opportunity.

How to qualify
and engage Team Confluence …
Our engagement process includes an exploratory interview we call the
discovery meeting, to determine if a full opportunity analysis and work
force assessment is appropriate. In order for you to qualify us, and
for us to understand your needs, we offer a free, no obligation, and
confidential discovery meeting at a location of your choice. This typically
takes about 1 to 2 hours and consists of a fact finding series of questions
and interactions to identify the root cause, possible perpetuating circumstance,
true commercial objective, organizational structure and information
streams, as well as how, or if, Team Confluence can assist in improving
your company’s commercial effectiveness.

Resource commitments
…
Based on our findings in the discovery process we work with your team
to propose customized recommendations for implementation and on-going
team reinforcement. Based on the size of your organization and the range
of impact you desire we can create a set of tools that are as easily
deployed as a 4 hour meeting with the various stakeholders, typically
prefaced by several small group meetings, usually captured within a
half day allotment. This simple approach can be developed, deployed,
and start emanating benefits within one working day.
Obviously the best results are the ones more detailed in both problem
identification and resolution activities, including training.
Team Confluence recently completed a three-month engagement where the
first 4 weeks were consumed with information gathering, cultural sensitivity
assessment, information stream mapping, and problem identification.
A two-week period followed where strategic groups were primed in resolution
submissions while contingency solutions were proposed to management.
Training began in earnest in the sixth week and continued for four weeks.
The round up and confirmation of expectations fulfillment occurred during
the last few weeks of the engagement.

success and to make available more resources to create yet an even higher
level of commercial information stream effectiveness for our valued
clients. Each session is fully customized to meet your objectives, intent
of your venture, cultural sensitivities, and time frame. The outcome
is always to educate the participants and provide them with practical
ideas and tools and to inspire them to implement the concepts presented.
Although many of our sessions are held at your location we also provide
off-site services for more discreet and less intrusive interactions.
